Patrick Melampy, one of the co-founders of 128 Technology, has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and director since inception. With Andrew, Patrick co-founded Acme Packet Inc. and served as its Chief Technology Officer since August 2000. He served as Vice President of Engineering of Priority Call Management since 1989. At PCM, Patrick developed and supported PCM's network telecommunications products and grew the engineering team from two to 75 members. He has developed intellectual property portfolios at PCM, LHS PCM, and Acme Packet. Patrick holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Boston University.
Michael Baj, one the of the co-founders of 128 Technology, has served as the company’s Vice President of Engineering and board member since inception. As Architect at Acme Packet, Michael transformed the product to be highly scalable and programmable. Michael brings his leadership and experience in distributed systems to 128 Technology. He has accumulated 13 patents of which five have been issued and seven are pending. Michael holds a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering and Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Andrew Ory, one of the co-founders of 128 Technology, has served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer and board member since inception. Prior to 128 Technology, Andrew co-founded Acme Packet in August 2000 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President until Acme Packet’s acquisition in 2013. Andrew also founded Priority Call Management and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. Andrew holds a B.A. from Harvard University.
Timothy Ziemer has served as the Worldwide Vice President of Sales since October 2014. Prior to 128 Technology, Timothy served as Group Vice President at Oracle responsible for Global Sales of the Acme Packet portfolio. Prior to Oracle, from 2002 to 2013, Timothy held leadership positions at Acme Packet. While serving as Vice President of Sales North America, sales grew from inception in 2002 to more than $140M over 8 years. In 2011 Timothy also assumed management for the Asia Pacific region. During his tenure, Timothy built and lead the Sales and Sales Engineering organization that helped secure dominant market leadership in the SBC category. Previous to Acme Packet, Timothy held Sr. Sales Director positions at Aravox Technologies and Lucent Technologies. Timothy holds a B.A. from the University of Saint Thomas.
Kevin Klett has served as the Vice President of Product & Strategy since January 2015. Kevin has broad experience in the communications and networking industry spanning 20 years and roles including product management, marketing, development, systems/sales engineering and professional services. Prior to 128 Technology, Kevin served for 14 years as Vice President of Product Management at Acme Packet (acquired by Oracle in 2013). At Acme Packet/Oracle, Kevin led the product management team responsible for shepherding the Session Border Control and Session Aware Networking portfolio from introduction to becoming a global market share-leading portfolio. Prior to Acme Packet, Kevin served as Vice President of Corporate Systems Engineering at Lucent Technologies/OPENet Division (formerly Excel Switching). Kevin joined Excel Switching in 1995. Kevin holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering-Telecommunications from the University of Connecticut.
Michael O’ Malley has served as the Vice President of Marketing since March 2015. Michael has a breadth of experience in the high tech industry, with roles including product marketing, corporate communications, market intelligence, corporate marketing, and investor relations. Prior to 128 Technology, Michael held senior marketing roles at VCE, Acme Packet, CA Technologies and VMware, successfully raising the market profile of these companies during critical stages in their evolution. In 2007, Michael led the investor relations, market intelligence and external communications efforts for VMware’s highly successful IPO. Prior to VMware, Michael spent 7 years at EMC in strategic marketing roles, which included serving as the principal speechwriter for EMC’s CEO and CFO. Michael holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University and a M.S. from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
