It pairs Lanner’s white box uCPE appliances and 128 Technology’s Secure Vector Routing technology. The Lanner appliances were designed for edge deployments of virtual network functions. SVR is a session-oriented solution that can recognize and control stateful, bi-directional exchanges of data as they are routed across networks. That allows for tight alignment between the network and the applications it supports, explains 128 Technology.

Futuriom Research expects growth in SD-WAN technology tools and network service revenues to approach $1 billion in 2019 and grow to $1.6 billion by 2021.
“This new category of technology tools and services is expected to dominate growth in the market for enterprise communications services over the next decade,” according to Futuriom. “With SD-WAN, complexities in buying network services, such as configuring branch-office devices, routing schemes, and network addresses, is abstracted by software into the cloud and managed by the service provider, rather than the enterprise. In addition, service providers can bundle network management with connectivity, providing many opportunities in value-added services.”
